The private branch of the Law College organized a scientific seminar on preventing youth from drug abuse and addiction, with the participation of faculty members and students.

The seminar aims to reduce the phenomenon of drug abuse in society and address it through legal and security means due to its impact on social fabric.

The seminar recommended activating the role of religious institutions through sermons, counseling, guidance, and coordination with Iraqi universities to assess the extent of drug addiction and activate drug control at border crossings to prevent the entry of drugs into Iraq. It also recommended developing national programs through media channels in collaboration with civil society organizations and activating the role of social media in raising awareness about the risks of drug abuse and its negative effects on society.
