











A Special Event in Celebration of Tree Planting Day at the College of Education for Pure Sciences
The Human Rights Unit at the College of Education for Pure Sciences, University of Wasit, organized a special event in celebration of Tree Planting Day, with the presence and participation of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Shua’a Al-Taie. The event featured an engaging activity designed to highlight the significance of trees and environmental conservation.
As part of the event, a large tree was drawn on a canvas, where participants placed their fingerprints on the tree using their thumbs, adding a personal touch to the activity.
The primary goal of this initiative was to raise awareness about the importance of afforestation and its role in preserving the environment and human rights, such as the right to a clean and healthy environment. The event also encouraged community participation and fostered a spirit of collaboration among individuals in protecting nature.
Participants interacted positively with the activity, contributing to the promotion of a culture of afforestation and environmental awareness.
