



College of education for human sciences Organizes a Training Course on Developing Women’s Leadership Skills
The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Humanities, in collaboration with the Department of Geography, organized a training course on developing women’s leadership skills in academic institutions.
The course, delivered by Dr. Fidaa Al-Mulla, a faculty member at the College of Arts, aimed to enhance women’s leadership and innovative abilities by identifying essential leadership skills in academic settings. It also sought to empower women by developing their leadership competencies, strengthening their decision-making capabilities, and equipping them with the skills to efficiently manage teams and projects. Additionally, the course focused on building self-confidence, adopting modern leadership approaches, and fostering the necessary skills to excel in leadership roles across various fields.
The course highlighted the role of academic institutions in fostering leadership skills through curricula and educational programs. It also shed light on the challenges women face in developing their leadership and innovation abilities. Moreover, it emphasized the importance of boosting women’s confidence in their leadership potential, refining communication and negotiation skills, and introducing participants to the principles and significance of effective leadership. Furthermore, the course aimed to enable women to navigate challenges in diverse work environments while building a network of creative female leaders for knowledge exchange and mutual support.
